Menus

File

  • Add Cues from File(s) - You select one or multiple cue files (.FCF, via File Browse dialog). Cues are added to the Cue List for each selected file.
  • Import Cue Group(s) - Imports one or multiple Cue Group files (.CGP, via File Browse dialog). Import/Export is intended for porting Cue Group to other FSPortal remote clients.
  • Export Cue Group(s) - Exports one or multiple Cue Group to files (.CGP extension).

Cue List

  • Add All FreeStyler Cues - Populates the Cue List all the cues that reside in the FreeStyler Cues folder.
  • Sort - Sorts the Cue List alphabetically -- Ascending or Descending.
  • Clear the Cue List - Empties the Cue List. This has no effect on your cues in FreeStyler. No cues are deleted.
  • Remove Selection of Cues - Remove Selection of Cues from the Cue List. You are prompted to make the selections.
  • Add Cues from Cue Group - Adds Cues contained in a Cue Group to the Cue List. You are prompted to make a Cue Group selection.
  • Add Cues by Path Name - You enter a Cue Path Name to be added.
  • Sequences Select mode - 1) Single: Only One Sequence selection can be made at a time. 2) Multi-Selection: One or multiple selections can be made.
  • Select ShutOff Cue - You are prompted to set this special cue by picking a cue from the Cue List. Once set, the cue does not need to remain in the Cue List.
  • Cue List Refresh - This will reacquire all cues in the Cue List from FreeStyler. This is only needed if you have made edit changes to Cues in FreeStyler while FSPortal is running.
  • Move Cue Up - Moves the selected Cue up one position in the Cuelist.
  • Move Cue Down - Moves the selected Cue down one position in the Cuelist.
  • Move Cue to Top - Moves the selected Cue to the Top of the Cuelist.
  • Move Cue to Middle - Moves the selected Cue to the Middle of the Cuelist.
  • Move Cue to Bottom - Moves the selected Cue to the Bottom of the Cuelist.

Cue Groups

You can create groups of cues that can be added to the Cue List in future sessions. A Cue Groups contains the names of a set of Cues and the Sequences contained in each cue. For example, you might create a Cue Group which contains only the Cues used for a given show.


Menu Items

Tools

  • Options - Opens the Options dialog.
  • IPC - See IPC Help page.
  • Manage Favorite Fonts - Allows you to create reusable Favorite Fonts. Useful if you switch fonts often in the Options dialog.
  • Command Execution Log
    • View Log - Pops up a viewer dialog with the contents of the Command Execution Log (commands sent to FreeStyler). Log Command Execution must be checked in the Options to create the log.
    • Clear Log - Clears the log of old entries.
  • Show/Hide Toolbars
    • Tools - When checked, the Tools Toolbar will be visible.
    • Master Cue List Controls - When checked, the Master Cue List Controls Toolbar will be visible.
  • FreeStyler Connection Test - Reports FreeStyler Connection status on the status bar.
  • Play on Double Click - When checked, a Cue or Sequence will Play when its name is double-clicked in the associated listbox. (same as selecting the item name in the listbox, then clicking the Play button)
  • Manual Trigger Disable - Disables (turns off) FreeStyler Manual Trigger mode.
  • Manual Trigger Click - Invokes a button press of the FreeStyler Manual Trigger button (for manually single stepping through sequences). When this mode is disabled, the first click enables (turns on) the mode.
  • Blackout Toggle - Toggles FreeStyler Blackout mode on/off.

Help

  • View Help - Opens the Contents page for the program Help document in your Web browser.
  • Session Log - Opens the application log. If you encounter errors when running the program, detailed error messages may get posted to this log. The messages may be helpful in determining corrective actions. Copy and paste any related error messages to emails when communicating problems to Support. The log is a simple text file. You can delete messages from previous sessions if you only want to see today's messages.
  • Web Site and Support - Opens the Support Web site page in your browser.
  • Check for Updates - Will ping our Web site to get lastest version.release (V.r) level and compare to your program V.r. If a later V.r is available, you should go to the Web site to download and install it.
  • Activate - The program must be activated to unlock full program function. A valid purchase order Transaction Id is your Activation code. Activation will attempt to connect to the our Website to validate your code. Your computer firewall may ask if the program is permitted to access the Web. You need to allow it to access the Web this one time. No private or personally identifiable information is transferred in this process. The activation is good only for the computer on which the program is activated. This program is licensed on a one machine per order number basis.
  • About - Program version and release information. Licence agreement and publisher Website link. When communicating problems to Support, please include this information in your email by copy and paste.
